Reading Order

THE FORTUNETELLING WIZARD SERIES

Each book in The Fortunetelling Wizard series can stand alone.

However, to follow Hol's story chronologically and with the most depth, the best reading order is:

1. The Fortunetelling Wizard

2. The Fractured Mountain

3. The Messhlun Mission

4. The Minotaur of the Benel Labyrinth

THE WITCH OF BENEL SERIES

The Witch of Benel series also takes place in the kingdom of Dar but can stand apart from The Fortunetelling Wizard series.

That said, Sha-li, featured in The Witch of Benel series, is introduced in The Minotaur of the Benel Labyrinth.

While reading The Minotaur of the Benel Labyrinth is not necessary for the reading of The Witch of Benel series, the most thorough understanding of the characters and the world will happen if you do.

The books in this series are best read in the following order:

1. The Witch of Benel

2. The Spellbinder from Pel-rezlata

3. The Promise Keeper of Dar

STANDALONE SHORT STORIES

Each of the following short stories can be read alone. They are independent of each other and the world which holds the Kingdom of Dar.

a. Desert Bound

Desert Bound is listed as sci-fi but is more likely closer to speculative fiction. The story is not science heavy. However, while not explicitly stated, the "They" of the story are space conquerors.

b. Mind Over Matter

Mind Over Matter is an earth-based science fiction story which blends bioengineering with esotericism. The bonus story is set in the same universe but takes place in another galaxy.

c. Rachel and the Coleridge Park Golem

Rachel and the Coleridge Park Golem is speculative fiction. It is set in a world that is more real to ours but has mythic and magical elements which probably shove it more accurately into the classification of magical realism.

d. Upside Down World

Upside Down World is literary fiction. It is set in a world real to ours and contains themes of failing health, mysticism, siblings, and memory.
